Any advice on which to buy when looking for over 100 lb thrust? 36v?

Exactly what Bill said. I prefer motorguide mostly because of the button. I also prefer the metal pedal, smaller/lighter motor, and direct feel of the motor guide. Just my preference but I wouldn't say one is better over the other.

Thanks fellas. Think I'm going to try motor guide. My minn kota did last ten years but the motor head in the water was so heavy and bulky it wanted to flop around on the front deck while on plane

I am a Motor Guide user and I would always buy the Motor Guide.

I've never owned a MK but some friends have them. The run just fine but I don't like to run them because the big foot control and the button on the wrong side.

Not a lot of experience with the latest and greatest of either, but MK has always had the better motors while MG has always had the better mounts and controls.

Nothing more annoying than a sloppy mounting and control system.

MK has a new one out that can self deploy, retract and adjust depth with a remote control.

MG here love it no problems other than it with its remote promotes feet up in the drivers seat, it really does promote laziness and when I actually do get on the bow NO DAM FOOT PEDAL IN MY WAY!!!! That in itself is worth it.
