If you could pick any 10 fishing trips for any species, all in Missouri, to put on a personal bucket list,...what would they be??

Examples:

1. Paddlefish snagging below Truman in March.

2. Trout and Smallmouth fishing and floating the Eleven Point during early spring.

3. Bass fishing on Lake of the Ozarks in early June, weekday.

4. Crappie fishing on Table Rock during the spawn.

5. White Bass runs up the creek, somewhere.

6. Blue Cats on the Mississippi River near St Louis during the hot summer.

7. Wade fishing for Smallmouths and Goggleyes on a small Ozark stream.

8. Spotted Bass fishing in deep water on Table Rock during late fall.

9. Hybrid Stripers on either side of Truman in the Spring or Summer.

10. Walleye fishing on Stockton during early spring.

Early enough to catch a fish or two before dinner I hope. I'll not be pit-stopping at the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum, if that's what you're asking. :D

New Years Stripers ? Possible if they get a big rain on X-mas eve.

Guess you intend to head north? The Late, Great, Single Malt Plumber used to chase fly rod stripers on the NFoW. He devoted several years to that effort before he was rewarded.

1. Fly fishing NFOW from a drift boat.

2. Set lines on Missouri River for flatheads - dark of the moon in June.

3. Blue catfish on Osage river near Taberville with live bait on the third rise in the spring.

4. Three day float and camping on upper Jacks Fork in the spring.

5. White Bass run on James.

6. Crappie during the spawn on Stockton.

7. Hybrids / white bass on Truman when they are chasing on the flats

8. Float and wade fishing for Smallies and Goggle eye on one of my local favorites

9. Taneycomo when the shad are going through the dam

10. Hitting a really good private pond for bass on spinner baits or topwater baits.

There. Back on track.
