rps Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Anniversary time. Nancy made the bread. Per her request I made the interesting salad (fresh corn, artichoke and ripe tomato), and the tomato garlic broth mussels. Johnsfolly, Daryk Campbell Sr, nomolites and 1 other 4
ness Posted August 20, 2021 Author Posted August 20, 2021 That’s some good looking stuff, @rps!! A couple resent ones. We had waffles at a b&b back in June. The guy said he used Bob’s Red Mill gluten free pancake mix. I never would have bought it but it was very good so we tried it at home. A little extra crunch. This was wifey’s waffle. I’m more a syrup guy. Lots of tomatoes here, even after the squirrels take their cut. Johnsfolly Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 We did a seafood theme. Picked up two dozen littleneck clams at farmers market and fresh asparagus. Served clams with a tarragon brown butter. Baked the remaining seabass that we caught with black pepper, lemon juice and ranch dressing until flaky. Steamed the asparagus and also some fresh beans from our potted garden. snagged in outlet 3, rps and ness 3

Johnsfolly Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Looks great Marty. Surprised you guys didn't have a side of fries since you caught him on a French fry. BilletHead and curtisce 2
ness Posted August 30, 2021 Author Posted August 30, 2021 Nice to see a little activity in this thread! I’ll share a couple recent ones. We’re overrun by tomatoes now so I thought I’d do something to use up a few. Tomato Gratin based on an ATK recipe. French bread cubes, diced tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, Parmesan. This was good and will do again, but not good for leftovers. I had a taste for gumbo so I did it despite the season. Chicken, shrimp, andouille and some flounder we had. Green peppers from the garden. Thank goodness we found a use for those nasty things😀. Wifey thought it was delicious, which makes this guy happy. It was very good. And finally, I found some good looking cukes so I thought I’d give fermented pickles another try. Saltwater brine, dill, garlic, spices, etc. We’ll see how this is in a couple weeks: BilletHead and Quillback 2 John
