BilletHead Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 Yesterday did some shopping for ingredients for Chicago dogs. Po dunk town not a sport pepper to be found. Bummer like the hot pepper part of the sandwich. Well came home and did a quick fridge pickle with serrano and some sliced jalapenos. The serrano would be the element for the Chicago dogs. Today the dogs were built and consumed with some garlic and rosemary oven fries. Just before pulling from oven some asiago cheese grated on them for a quick melt, Dessert put into oven as the fries came out, Norwegian apple cake. Some caramel sauce was whipped up and poured warm over the cake, ness, rps, nomolites and 1 other 4 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" My daughter lives in Evergreen Park and I’ve become fond of Chicago style dogs as a result, as well as a few of the other food items that are best found there. I love to eat the local fare when traveling, even in Chicago. Mike BilletHead and Johnsfolly 2
rps Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Seigie's Polish sausage (house made here in Tulsa) braised with onions, peppers, and celery, over polenta. While I fixed this, the pork shoulder roast was smoking in my mini egg. ness, BilletHead and Johnsfolly 3
rps Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Last night late I pulled the pork shoulder roast I put on to smoke yesterday. Today I made a batch of horseradish slaw and a batch of mustard BBQ sauce. Company will be here this evening. I will eat too much. Johnsfolly 1
