@Terrierman my better half made a similar cream of leek soup this week. Was great with some crusty bread.

Tonight she used her instapot to make baby back ribs with smashed roasted red potatoes.

Exact meal we had last night, coupled with corn.

Teal have to be the best-tasting ducks out there.

Like everything, depends on what they are eating. Just last night I had a beautifully fat blue-wing from North Dakota. Pan seared it. First bite it made me gag. I don't know what it was eating, but it was rank.

I'll still take a December mallard as the top-eating duck, or a well-fed pintail.

Being i ate it at a buffet in Vegas, the chances of it being an old ram is pretty good. Not only was the taste unpleasant, but i chewed a piece for 2 minutes before it flew out of my mouth. I’m glad they had hotdogs on their menu that day, as i was pretty hungry.

Yes I killed a old Ram one time.  My wife said bring the meat home.

Took a bite, cooked it up. It was OK until it was in my mouth for a bit.

I asked Ted Nugent about it? He said marinade it. Tried that, still nasty.

Dogs ate good.

I look on here and see your meals that you put lots of time in, and here i am posting Spam sandwiches and this here leftover meatloaf, fried taters, rice and corn before i hit the woods. I do love to cook, and up until she kicked me from the kitchen for, her words, “stop coming in here and taking over every time i start cooking”, i cooked most days. Now, on her request, i stand back and watch mostly.

My tonight meal is leftover corned beef baked hash with leftover tabouli. Tabouli is definitely better the second day.

Lovey made chicken and noodles in the crockpot.  The smell is killing me.  One of my favorite cold weather comfort foods of all time.  Still have an end of a baguette to go with.

Ketchup:  Man you do like those peppers eh?  Fresh they're a bit much for me.  Pickled in a quesadilla or on nachos - then pile 'em up.
