snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 You beat me to it Chief. I thought Joe was at St Anthony's Hospital or something. Joe likes his crust trimmed off! Homemade Big Mac's yesterday at my house. Chief Grey Bear, rps and Gavin 3
Chief Grey Bear Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Yes, nice crisp, straight lines on that toast. That only comes after years of professional experience. Nice burger by the way!! snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Thanks! We should have a psychologist look at Joe's plate. I'm sure there's some Freudian freakishness going on there. Joe likes his toast trimmed... ness 1
joeD Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 It was some slightly old home made bread, and the crust became too crusty after toasting and separated from the continent. So I trimmed it for a better picture and/or tableau. I will say, however, it was delicious because of the ingredients. European butter, sea salt, Tellicherry pepper, local cage free eggs and my bread. Luxurious in its simplicity. Upon further review, it does look institutional and "non lethal" doesn't it? Funny. Good call. Sorry, I'm compelled.. Joe likes his toast trimmed... Ahem. Let's leave my cousin out of it. snagged in outlet 3 1
ness Posted March 4, 2016 Author Posted March 4, 2016 Last night I needed something quick, and I've been cutting back on the calories lately. I thawed out some frozen, deveined shrimp and removed the shells. Dried them off real good, then tossed them in a tiny little bit of oil with some spices (onion and garlic powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, pepper, thyme). Then put them on a screaming hot cast iron grill for just a bit to get a little char and heat them up. Had them with grilled zucchini and a little orzo. BilletHead 1 John

rps Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Nancy and I are beginning to feel close to normal. Between the two of us, we missed 8 days of school. Since we started teaching in 2002, that has never happened. Today we celebrated by proctoring the SAT tests at Eureka. This is really a labor of love. Only the kids hoping for admission to someplace beyond "state" take that test. Always a pleasure to meet these kids and give them a chance. To celebrate, Nancy and I are headed to spice world tonight. I am using a recipe, but one I have used before. Gavin Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Forgot about that band. Used to listen to lots of that stuff while line cooking on Friday & Saturday nights at the Restaurant. Got the orders out quicker it seemed, but might have been all the cocaine. 30yrs ago. Flysmallie 1
