MOPanfisher Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Peaches and maters, the difference between what you buy in the store and picked right off the plant are worlds apart. Over ripe peaches are one of my kryptonite foods. You could bait a giant steel trap with them, post signs around it, and it would still catch me trying to get to them. Sadly the dang Japanese beetles have gang raped my peaches. I am going to have to get a jug of malthion, as much as I hate that stuff, before there is nothing left of my orchard, and wifes roses.
jdmidwest Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 I think Pyrethrin gets them and it is safe to use around food products. Liquid Sevin knocks them quick but you can't eat what you treat. Vegetables included carrot, zucchini, onion, green pepper, ginger, wild collected oyster, chanterelle, and indigo milky cap mushrooms and store bought enoki mushrooms. I picked up the enoki before we collected more chanterelles and the indigo milky mushrooms yesterday. I had those mushrooms so I used them. While cooking, I was really wishing that I had the Billet-o-matic super wok to superheat and cook this meal. Still I made due. Olivia wanted to take a photo of her plate. So here it is.
