From a few days back--corn meal mush. Anybody ever have this? I just don't hear about it anymore, but my dad loved it and I do too. Cornmeal, water, salt, cook it and keep stirring. Add a little butter and some real maple syrup.

I love mush. But I buy the loaf.

I've done that too. Fry some slices, same condiments. This was eaten like a porridge, but it can be dried and fried.

Loaf mush, sliced and fried.  Haven't even thought of that in a long time.  kind of like the old "scrapple" we used to make after butchering a hog, basically mush with pork scraps in it.  cooked in a loaf.

Loved scrapple that my grandmother made.  Boiled a hog's head all day, picked off the meat, spiced it up some and made mush with the liquid and mixed in the meat.  I would give a lot to be back in that kitchen with her just one more time...
