ness Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 From a few days back--corn meal mush. Anybody ever have this? I just don't hear about it anymore, but my dad loved it and I do too. Cornmeal, water, salt, cook it and keep stirring. Add a little butter and some real maple syrup. John
Chief Grey Bear Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 I love mush. ness Posted November 14, 2016 Author Posted November 14, 2016 I've done that too. Fry some slices, same condiments. This was eaten like a porridge, but it can be dried and fried. John
MOPanfisher Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 Loaf mush, sliced and fried. Haven't even thought of that in a long time. kind of like the old "scrapple" we used to make after butchering a hog, basically mush with pork scraps in it. cooked in a loaf. Terrierman 1

snagged in outlet 3 Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 I did a wood fire chicken last night. Oak and hickory mix. Put chicken on one side, fire on the other. Only took 30 minutes and it was great. I already ate a wing then snapped the picture. My wife slightly over cooked the veggy's. BilletHead, Chief Grey Bear, ness and 1 other 4

Loved scrapple that my grandmother made. Boiled a hog's head all day, picked off the meat, spiced it up some and made mush with the liquid and mixed in the meat. I would give a lot to be back in that kitchen with her just one more time... MOPanfisher, Gavin and BilletHead 3
