I won't eat a pot pie because they put two or 3 peas in it. What's the point of that? ness 1

Combine that with too many peas and it would of been like a Sherwin Williams commercial. Whatever color you fed them would be the color that came back out. Sometimes swirled ! Lots of fun. Deadstream, BilletHead and ness 2 1
ness Posted February 23, 2018 Author Posted February 23, 2018 Why would you ever put sour cream into a braise of beef, onions, mushrooms, stock and red wine??? Because it tastes good! Had the itch for beef stroganoff. An oldie but goodie BilletHead and Johnsfolly 2 John
BilletHead Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 South Carolina BBQ sauce, Thought I was going blind grating an onion . That was that toughest part. I just had to taste it every time I walked by as it was simmering. I really can't say I have ever had this before but I will be in the future! Will be using this on some eat that will be going in the sous vide bath a bit later for an overnight cook, Recipe says this will keep in the fridge a month or more. Don't think i will have to worry about that happening, BilletHead Johnsfolly 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" MOPanfisher Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Just read the mention of pea soup. Right now I am wanting some split pea soup with bacon. I am sort of banned from driving by my wife as I only have one eye I can see out of, and look like I am half zombie, but it's only a few miles to the little store in town where I can get some smoked hocks and a couple cans of black eye peas, will work well enough for me. Heck they might even can a can of split pea soup! Called an audible, only one package of very small hocks, but had a big beautiful smoked jowl, still had some whiskers on it. Chunked up about half of it and tossed into Dutch oven to sizzle a little and oh my the smell. Added 3 can of bush best black eye peas, and a little extra spices. Leaving it to simmer all afternoon into a fatty, porky pot of happiness. Deadstream and tho1mas 2
