Glad to have another bierock lover out there. Now, let’s get you into  shepherd’s pie. Meat and taters and gravy. How can that not be good??

Love shepherd's pie.  Properly done with lamb though.  Just to be a purist and all.

Yeah, I’m sure that’s lamb In there. Virgin lamb from my private flock. Or herd. Whatever you call it. 😁

          Turkey Buffalo mac and cheese,

Not your mommas mac and cheese. Pretty complex and hard to stop eating it.  Some of the ingredients include wild turkey, butter, onions, garlic, hot sauce, whole milk, heavy cream, dry mustard, cheddar cheese, sour cream, blue cheese and bread crumbs.

Ready for the oven part,thumbnail_0422181358.jpg Out of the Oven to cool a bit,thumbnail_0422181440.jpg

Plated up and ready to eat with a side of morels :) ,thumbnail_0422181452.jpg

With Waffle House in the news, I realized I hadn’t been there in a while. I give you grits, cheese and ham.

Turned out perfect. Wife & I spotted a few morels and the kids got a few too. Maybe a Lb, but enough for a side dish tomorrow. Looks a bit bare in the woods, should get better if it warms up a tad.

Get in line if you go Castlewood, Lone Elk or Sherman Parks.  Literally dozens of people looking for them this weekend.

Dont go to at any of those spots. Not legal to pick in a STL County Park. Saw lots  looking, not finding. Helps if your willing to walk more than 100 yards from your vehicle. Most won't.
