MOPanfisher Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Tonight's simple man menu is rough hash. Chopped up some left over roast beef, diced up a sweet onion. And microwaved it a while with coca cola to partially cook them, boiled up 3 taters then peeled and diced them up. All into one BIG bowl, mixed around a while, added some salt/pepper/garlic powder mix and some cavenders seasoning. Skillet with some garlic olive oil, hoping to get a nice crust on it, or it will fall apart and become a hash scramble. Either way it's supper. tho1mas 1
Johnsfolly Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 I was hoping to have a oist that puts this over 800 pages. But no photos nor step by step for tonight. Had three shark steaks from this summer. My Betterhalf found a broccoli and garlic pizza that we would use as a side. I seasoned the shark with Kickin Chicken spice blend. Cooked with a little oil. Once each side had cooked a bit drizzled with teriyaki sauce and quick heat to carmelize the sauce then squeezed fresh lime juice. The crust of the pizza was a head of broccoli, a couple garlic cloves, and some red onion then processed into a paste. Spread the pasta "dough" onto parchment paper and onto a stone. Cooked at 425 until it started to crisp up. Topped the crust with mozzarella and artichoke hearts and back into the oven until the cheese melted. Back out and topped with avocado slices, arugula, and drizzle of olive oil. liphunter, MOPanfisher and ness 3
MOPanfisher Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 I went back to basic tonight for Valentines day. A small backstrap from a button buck my wife killed, ran the jacardi tenderizer across it a couple times, dropped it into a bowl and poured cola over it, and added some sort of cowboy seasoning in and stirred it around. Let it soak while waiting for my wife to come back from the store. She brought some croissants and some squash. Heated up the small cast iron skillet, added some butter and garlic olive oil, seasoned the backstrap with salt/pepper/garlic powder. Seared the 2 pieces to a nice crust and removed them. Sometimes they just are perfect, very rare in the middle and a little crust on the outside and tender as can be. Even my mom a notoriously picky eater for an old lady, cleared her plate with ease. Never had a chance to take a photo, it looked like someone threw a handfull of grasshoppers into a chicken pen the way it disappeared. tho1mas, ness and Johnsfolly 3

Cooked frozen flat dumplings in the stock with some parsley, thyme and bay leaves. Thickened with a roux and added milk, chicken and dumplings. tho1mas, BilletHead, Johnsfolly and 1 other 4 John
Al Agnew Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Had leftover beef tongue tonight with homemade egg noodles. Mary won't eat tongue but is okay with fixing it in the Instant Pot. One tongue gives me three nights of meals, and it only gets better each night. Mary had salmon. MOPanfisher 1
