I'm fond of the S&P set.  And Marty's pink robe.  Very fuzzy warm looking bro.

Not mine Rick! I keep my pink robe in the closet with other secrets. Skeletons too :). This pink was Pat's new sweatshirt. A good story from today about this pink pullover. We went to the nursing and rehab to visit my mom this morning. Pat wore the thing. As we entered there was a little elderly lady in a wheelchair. She looked as though she had ran into the wall at an angle. She was holding a full sized baby doll in crossways in her lap. She was staring off into the distance. We visited mom for quite awhile. When we walked out the lady was still in the hall but her wheelchair had been straightened out and she was looking down the hall towards us again in a blank stare. As we got closer she focused on Pat and in the faintest voice out came "where's the fish" ! I told her we were still looking for them :) . Amazing it was the greatest thing,

Nothing fancy here this weekend but good,

Yesterday grilled/smoked chicken thighs with steamed carrots, salad and asiago cheese toast. Used cherry wood on the sides of the coals. Today split a ribeye with Mrs. BilletHead with fried taters with onions and cheese some been greens too. This also with charcoal and cherry wood. Heat and smoke. Lid on lid off was the drill for the grill :) ,

On a more food related note,  100% 0n cherry to smoke chicken.  Big fan of fruitwood for a lot of meat dishes.  I get a lot of cherry and apple to use.  And do.

Haven't had anything worth putting for a while.  Tonight for our Sunday friends dinner she made Shepards Pie, and while I am not normally a fan of English cuisine this one was very good.  She wasn't happy because she used ground beef and ground lamb and didn't like the smell of it,  but I and everyone else thus it was great.  Add in a tray of roasted root veggies, sweet potatoes, carrots and parsnips and I am now in a food coma.  Especially after a lunch of ham and beans, diet be dammed.

That looks and sounds incredible.  Big fan of Shepherd's pie but seldom get to make it here.  Lamb and veal are best for meat in those things if you ask me.

We make ours with walleye and spinach and carrots in a mustard cream sauce.

As for tonight, I was pleased.
