There was not piece of king crab left at my house.:D

He who gloats about seafood invites the bad oyster karma.

This one should probably go in Pete’s Restaurant review thread (if Pete ever starts one) Went to a new Cajun Restaurant from The east coast (believe it or not), called Hook and Reel. It’s on Chippewa and Kingshighway. Excellent Fresh seafood that comes boiled in a plastic bag to your table, or fried. They take it out of the bag table side  and basically dump it in your plate. The bag has several extremely good sauces to pick from. They just opened like 3 weeks ago and are building 2 more in St. Louis. One in the county somewhere and Kirkwood I believe. Not too pricey either.
Let’s hope it doesn’t become like all another restaurants who’s quality control continues to decline.

It's not gloating, just facts.  I don't like oysters.  Is that real saying?

Made it up, but only because it is true.

Looks like we're getting one in Overland Park. No real good Cajun in KC that I know of. Have a place called Jazz with a few locations around town, but I've never been happy with anything I've gotten there in 3-4 trips. Have a food truck around town that does a decent jambalaya, but best Cajun IMO comes from stately ness manor. :D

You need to have a Cajun accent to cook like Justin Wilson though! 😂

I used to go to NOLA all the time.  My best friend grew up there.  We stopped at a rest stop on the way down one year in MS I think.  Out walks Justin.  We walk up and introduce ourselves and tell him we love the show.  He says "How yall are?"  We just bust out laughing and he laughs right along with us. We talked for a while and then left.  Real nice guy!
