vonreed Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I'm using 8 pound stren original. Brother Dave is using 8 pound p line flouro clear. He is catching more walleye than me but I'm catching more of the bass. Thanks. I've been using Fireline for years and wonder if that affects the walleye catch. And I'm sure you'll be the next person the clean the ramps again after this storm today, lol.
JohnP Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Nice report DD and congrats on some of the best eats the lake has to offer.
Jerry Rapp Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 it will be interesting to see how this effects future fishing pressure in the K Dock area in following winters. I enjoy the posts for sure, but I am sure a lot of eyes are viewing these posts and saying I can do that.
navery Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 So? It is a public lake right? I have kept my opinions to myself while reading a lot of these posts, but I don't think I can anymore. This gentleman is doing what I thought this sight was intended for. This is the second time he has had a negative comment for what? A fishing report? Guys like me work all week and have little time to spend on the water to even come close to patterning fish. At least his reports give me hope and make me want to get out there and try? Why don't you egocentric fisherman call this website what it is? A glorified bragging board where if we post to much info we get antagonistic comments and judged, if we don't post anything, we are labeled creepers. People like me don't want to post for fear of ridicule from others like you. Hopefully this mindset will change, until then, I will be cautious of what I post as I already do so I am not upsetting anyone. Duck, great report and keep them coming. It brightens my week while I am stuck in the office wishing I could be fishing. And to whoever my thoughts offend, I apologize, but keep in mind, this site was intended for everyone to enjoy and learn from. Ketchup, crappiekayaker, Phil Lilley and 3 others 6
Jerry Rapp Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I have posted before on a couple of little lakes that I like to fish. Posted some good stuff about the fishing. Trying to help a few. Well, it is not a few. Ask the small stream/creek guys. They have had the same results. It is the old "bent pole" pattern. Their are a lot more people out there viewing these posts than you realize. Then they tell their buddy, who tells his buddy............
Ham Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 MOST ppl will not brave the elements this time of year to roll the dice on catching a few fish. I choose which trips I want to post about. I make a lot of very successful trips I don't say a word about over concerns the Internet and search engines. You can ruin you favorite fishing spot sharing too much information. nomolites Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Well, it is a simple fact that the walleye move to the upper end this time of year and a stickbait is a good bet to catch them. From what I see this thread just confirms what is already know, no more. (except that a couple more guys have improved stickbait savvy shared with them by ANOTHER fisherman and they will now be eating more fresh fish in February and March...) It's all good, all is right with the world today. I love it. Mike Ham 1
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 5, 2015 Root Admin Posted March 5, 2015 I've had to tell many people, by PM, that to be active on any public forum you have to have thick skin. The other thing I tell people - Ignore the people who post stupid stuff! Just act like they never said anything. You give them the power by acknowledging them. trythisonemv, Smallieguy87, Daryk Campbell Sr and 2 others 5
