mixermarkb Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Don't worry Ham, you might see Bull in the 680's. They won't let the rock flood too bad because of the tourism dollars, but I doubt they let all of that water flush through to the Mississippi when they have 40 feet of storage in Bull to make electric money with all summer long... Ham Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Bring It ! I can catch em on Bull at 680. It starts to make it tough to launch the Bass Cat at some point though. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
5bites Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Screw 918! I want like 922. I like the way you think ham. But a few feet in some nice green willows is awesome. A little early for green willows though.
Ham Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I want some of those Jimmy Houston spinnerbait bites where the fish comes up and snatches that spinnerbait near the surface.I love a visual spinnerbait bite. Champ188 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
dtrs5kprs Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Those are a hoot. Way better than slow rolling. Even better if you can see it come out of a tree or off a laydown. Champ188 1
balsabee Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I hate high water...my best fishing in the creeks is always around 912.
gitnby Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I remember a Spring several years ago, my Dad and my Brother-in-Law and I fished all morning without even a whiff! It was getting cloudy and rain was threatening. They decided to take a nap, so I went back out by myself. The year before, Bill Beck had showed me how to 'bulge' a spinner bait just under the surface. I took a white, double silver willow blade and proceeded to catch what was probably my best bag ever? Went back in Schooner, and in about 45 minutes I hauled in 7 LM. Had 3 over 5#, biggest was 7+ and the other 4 were in the 4# range. They were just all over that thing, and I saw every one of them come out of a tree or laydown. No camera with me, and didn't want to mess with filling the livewell. To this day, my Dad and Brother-in-Law still don't believe me!
Donna G Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I would hate to throw at those concrete picnic tables & sidewalks, just doesn't seem fair. Makes me weak in the knees thinking about running a blade across the top of a flooded picnic table. Bam! abkeenan Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Makes me weak in the knees thinking about running a blade across the top of a flooded picnic table. Bam! Maybe MDC should consider dumping concrete picnic tables instead of old Christmas tree's?
