I watched this one the other night - Sutherland, Nimoy, Goldblum, Adams, and Cartwright.

On AMC is an eighties classic. Couple of guys thinking that they will get promoted after finding a $2 million dollar insurance fraud. Their host was dying to have them stay for a couple of days. Doesn't turn out the way they planned.

Definitely a sappy 80s comedy. Has a great Porsche golf cart.

Any of you seen the new Coen movie? The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. It’s a Netflix original. Don’t think it would make anyone’s top 5 list but very interesting.

I've watched some of it but keep getting interrupted and haven't made it through them all. The first segment was pretty funny (Buster). The second one was ok (bank robber) but just thought the ending was wierd. The third was just toooo weird. Started the 4th but haven't finished it. I've had people tell me it's the best one. It's feeling a little like work getting through them.

I did watch No Country for Old Men last night. darn I love that movie. I don't know what I said in my original post here without looking, but I think that's a top 5 for sure.

Hell or High water is a good one too and kinda reminds me of No Country but isn't Coen brothers.

I liked the forth one. But they all end weird to me. Especially the last one. It's good up till the ending. I had to watch it twice just to make sure I didn't miss something. I didn't.

Love the Coen Bros.  Buster Scruggs was really good -- a couple of the stories a bit dark though.  The first one with Tim Blake Nelson is an instant classic.  And prospector one with Tom Waits was really good too.  The last one, with the banter in the stagecoach was pretty good, but fell flat with its ending.

Just blew about a half hour going back through this thread.

Last week at the company Christmas party we got to talking about favorite movies and TV shows. One of the young punks laughed at me when I mentioned I get Netflix DVDs. Said he doesn't even have a DVD player. I told him if he worked hard and saved his money maybe he could get one some day.

All these great movies listed here, and I know most aren't available streaming on Netflix. Not sure about other streaming services. I've got Amazon Prime but the few times I've looked for stuff I couldn't find it. And, I always watch the 'Special Features' on DVDs. It's gonna suck if those go away or they quit making them.,

We were traveling somewhere a few weeks ago and my youngest, almost 15, asked if she could get the new album of a band she's been listening to. I said sure and in a few minutes we were listening to it. I told her that one of my favorite things to do when I was younger was get my paycheck and go the the music store in the mall. I'd spend hours in their making only the best selections. Then once I paid my money I could go out to my truck and listen to what I purchased. She actually thinks that doing that would be cool. We still do sometimes at the few shops around town but they aren't the same. Kid was born way after her time.

But it is sweet to be traveling and get some new tunes almost instantly.
