She's an old soul and a DJ and Rolla S and T. I had her setup my Instagram so I follow what she does. Some days I can't stop laughing. We are about the same. Our iTunes accounts are tied together so I get what she gets and she gets what I do. Luckily we like most of the same stuff. snagged in outlet 3 1

Last week at the company Christmas party we got to talking about favorite movies and TV shows. One of the young punks laughed at me when I mentioned I get Netflix DVDs. Said he doesn't even have a DVD player. I told him if he worked hard and saved his money maybe he could get one some day. All these great movies listed here, and I know most aren't available streaming on Netflix. Not sure about other streaming services. I've got Amazon Prime but the few times I've looked for stuff I couldn't find it. And, I always watch the 'Special Features' on DVDs. It's gonna suck if those go away or they quit making them., I have a blue ray DVD player, a plasma TV and a Marantz surround sound system (Ok I went without cable for five years and that paid for it all). I feel that the experience I get with a blue ray disk is superior to streaming. ness 1

I feel that the experience I get with a blue ray disk is superior to streaming. I feel like I get good streaming of Netflix through Google Fiber, but it's pretty pricey. Between an older plasma TV, Blu Ray/DVD, Netflix and DVR-ing Turner Classics and other stuff I'm getting more than I need with very good quality audio and video. Just not in the mood to change my setup. Went to see First Man in the theater a few weeks ago. One of these newer ones with the big recliner chairs and humongous screens. The screen was actually too big -- the picture was grainy. Oh, and I have added probably 25 movies to my queue after going through this thread again. Some of you guys are getting notices that I liked posts from 2-3 years ago I'm sure. Many of those I took off the like and added it back to create a new notice. Some great stuff in here. Oh, oh, and I need to add Hud to my list here. Johnsfolly 1 John

It was great to read through the lists and all of these replies. Just watched the 1936 version of The Three Godfathers. Have watched the 1948 John Wayne version quite a bit. Did not realize that movie was a reboot. Then find out that there have been 5 movies based on this same story between 1916 to 1948. I often complain about all of the recent reboots in the movies. Seems like it has been the trend since they started making movies. ness 1
Johnsfolly Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 I did see Hud, Rebel without a Cause, East of Eden, No Country for Old Men and many others since this thread went on a hiatus. All very good movies. ness 1

Don’t think it would make anyone’s top 5 list but very interesting. I have. The Coen Brothers always worth watching. Flysmallie 1
