My youngest did TV commercials for 10 years or so and I already had escapism problems and that only made them worse.  Being on the set with her only enforced my skepticism.  I just see fake stuff I can't buy into.  I go to the Starwars Movies for my wife and I've slept through every Star trek episode from every series.:D

What killed Star Wars for me were the gun battles where the storm troopers would fire about 7 bazillion rounds and never hit anyone.  But, when the first one came out the special effects were pretty neat, at least for that time.

Speaking of which.  How about "The Curse of Oak Island"?  They could have excavated North Dakota by now.:D

Are they still doing new episodes?  I watched one time and was done with it.

I admit to being hooked on Gold Rush, I record it and do a lot of fast forwarding, but there's something about gold mining that I have always found interesting.  Speaking of moving dirt, they move a LOT of dirt.

I struggle with the whole sci-fi genre and have for a long time. I've probably seen 2 of the Star Wars -- the first for sure and maybe one other. Never any of the Star Treks. Just not my cup-o-tea I guess. This Marvel-type stuff they're cranking out these days -- where it's all fast cuts and special effects -- just doesn't interest me at all. Toy Story 4 or the Peanut Butter Falcon sound pretty good to me right now. :D

The stuff that really cracks me up is the paranormal crap on TV. The same freakin' thing every time -- old, dark  places, night vision goggles, green eyes and either some noise that scares them, a breeze or a speck of light on their ghost meter. Geez

When I think of Sci-Fi I never think of Star Wars or Star Trek. Alien, Cloverfield, Event Horizon, those are Sci-Fi movies.

I did enjoy the recent Lost in Space series. I think Season 2 is coming soon but I probably won't watch it.

Never was a huge Sci fi fan. I did enjoy the old Twilight Zone series. It was truly a head game. My 9 year daughter watches the latest supposedly scary new CG graphic monsters and isn’t affected whatsoever. I made he watch an old Twilight Zone in black and white and she couldn’t get through it without freaking out!

This was one of my favorite episodes, and it was downright scary when I saw it as a kid.

I have seen every episode of the Twilight Zone. One of my favorites is Eye of the Beholder where the young woman is getting surgery to her face and they reveal how "ugly" she was/is. The Masks is another favorite. As is Nightmare at 20,000 feet with the great William Shatner over reaction acting😀.
