What "old time" lure do you still routinely throw and why?

All this recent talk about the Ned Rig made me think, not for the first time, about the cyclical nature of fishing lures as isn't the Ned rig just a variation on Charlie Brewer's Slider fishing approach? I completely understand the desire to find and really master an approach which best suits how you enjoy fishing. That's what its all about. I use a mixed bag of old and new baits but I really love throwing some "old time" lures because they work really well. I, for example, love throwing a black jitterbug at night. I can chuck that bait pretty far out there and it's easy to listen to that blup blup blup sound as you retrieve it while you hope for a fish to knock the snot out of it! I get goosebumps thinking about it!. Tiny torpedo anyone? They still work pretty darn good at times. What "oldie but goodies" are still in your arsenal?

I bought a Arbogast Mud Bug in 1968 when they first came on the market in 1968. It was plain brown with black strips and it caught its share of fish. We used to call that kind of bait bottom bumpers instead of crank baits. It has a metal bill and plated hooks. I really liked it and fished during my time floating. Those old lures took a lotos punishment being beat them rocks rocky bottoms. I fished it in lakes for awhile also before arthritis got to me and I had to stop using any bait that you needed to bang out a lot of cast and retrieved with higher resistance.

They work, as do Bombers and Hellbenders.
