Yeah it was dark for sure. I am just glad you were there so my buddy didn't think i was totally nuts for getting there so early. Lol.

Thought we had a good spot located and wanted to get on it early. Turns out it wasnt so good afterall. Caught fish just not the size we needed.

Definitely did not want you thinking we were going to cut ahead of you but knew we had a bunch of stuff to do to get ready and didnt want to tie up the staging lane. Was easier to just park in a spot and get ready.

I launched at Old 86 on Saturday morning and I've never seen such rudeness. There was a line of about 8 boats when we rolled up at around 530am and more coming in behind us. At least 2 or 3 boats just flat drove around the people waiting in line and launched as if we weren't there. A couple of jerks drove in from the exiting side of the ramp and launched that way thus cutting in line. Truly just pathetic.

Brett, you can't go hatin' on those people like that! Don't you know they were just reduced to blissful ignorance (spelled it right this time) by their excitement to be fishing in the big-bass derby and didn't know any better than to cut in line?

Those people come from far and wide to fish this derby and spend thousands upon thousands of dollars while they're here.

If you can't be nice and get along (i.e., let them just do whatever they want and take it with a smile), maybe you just need to stay home that weekend. (Read back up this thread --- that's the solution. LOL)

I know there was a lot of rudeness but I must also say I saw a lot of good things as well. I saw a bunch of people obviously coming to fish a stretch of bank we were on only to turn away and leave us be. Actually fished this stretch of bank for over 3 hours saturday and sunday and not one person cut in. Nobody asked to either or I would have shared it as it was a 300 yard stretch or so and the lake was crowded.

I had a couple other specific spots I wanted to fish but there were people over 150-200 yards away. I asked from a distance if they cared if I fished that spot and both times the people had no problems with it. Fished my little spot and then got out of their way.

Had another spot I was going to fish but someone was on it so started to leave. They waved me in and said to go ahead and fish. We told them thanks but wanted to give them their room.

We saw (and helped out too) a LOT of people helping each other at the ramp getting boats in and out if someone was by themselves or needed help.

Maybe we got lucky but we saw very little bad behavior.

A touch of class is nice, but I prefer ALL class, so I drive a Ranger. :XD:

Were you in MIZZOU gear?

Ummmm don't recall what I was wearing. I probably had my Yellow and Black gortex Northface jacket as it was nippy and overcast. My brother was probably pimping some Tiger gear.

That was probably why folks were mean - gotta wear some Razorback gear :secret-laugh:
