Doubt anything can stop Mother Nature's fish spawn. Maybe a dramatic lake draw down could hurt it. It's survival of fry that is the big question mark.

Quill I don't think the deep bite will go away. I think they would stay put or maybe move to the bottom more instead of being suspended over 80 ft of water. I would be flipping the brush and willows though close to deep water and throwing a deep crankbait with all the current.

Absolutely. Also in the middle of drains along flats. Lots of good ingredients there. I've mentioned before I need to spend a day just looking for trees between eagle rock and shell knob. Especially up to big m.

Caught one this week on LOZ. it still had eggs.

Corrected that for you. Dont wanna hurt anyones feelings. That was a little too descriptive and violent for this forum.

How about moving on already and not crapping on this thread too. There is a topic currently where you can voice your opinions. Why bring that over here when it has nothing to do with the topic that we are well aware of your thoughts on the subject.? Get over it.

Ever since I saw that they are running that much water through the dam I've been licking my chops to get down there and throw a 10XD on the long runout points and dropoffs into the channel where the current is going to be rolling over it. Nobody wants to see all this rain and the damage it can cause but I'm thinkin' what you're thinkin' with the deep cranks.

Bull is at 678.83 and seems to be going up about 1/10 of a foot per hour. I'm not feeling real bad for the TR crew just yet. UNderstand that I am likely done with BUll for the next 4 months or so because of this.

How familiar are you with the 10xd. I'm just getting my feet wet in the deep crank thing and 6xd is my standard at this point.

Hard to beat the 6XD. Better price point and by the looks of the 10XD, you arms wont fall off after a day of cranking it.

We are headed down tomorrow for a week. Will try to get some posts on documenting our success/failure.

Hmmmm, you're right - forget the part about stripers.

I wonder if the deep drop shot bite will go away with this change in the water level?

I do think alot of those fish will move up. Not all but some will. I'd think a good ol 6xd will catch them that don't. Headed out later today to see what's going on out there. I'll keep everyone posted after I get back..
