Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted June 19, 2015 Root Admin Posted June 19, 2015 It's with great sadness that I report that Jim Breidenstein, aka Sac River Jim here on OAF, died in a car accident last night. He was 54 years old. Jim was one of the most unselfish members on this forum and that reflected his life. He was always trying to keep everyone informed when the best fishing was on Stockton, and how to catch 'em. I knew him best from his visits with his mom before she passed. He brought her down to Branson as a treat, and stayed with us here at the resort. Jim loved Jesus. That's the reason for his unselfish kindness, he would say. And although his life ended in such a horrific accident, dead is nothing but a step in to the presence of God. It hurts us here but I assure you, Jim isn't feeling any pain. He's experiencing joy unspeakable. 5bites, Deadstream, Stacy Jordan and 3 others 6

straw hat Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Phil My deepest appreciation for sharing this tragic news. SRJ represented the fisherman well and was a gentleman on this site. I know that I will certainly miss his postings and advice. May God comfort his family in their time of loss. He will be missed. Ham 1

dtrs5kprs Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Darren Combs just called to let me know he saw this on the Stockton page. Real tragedy. I enjoyed Jim's posts, and the good, common sense info he offered us all. This is a real loss. Prayers to all who knew him, and will mourn his loss.
ness Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Sad to hear about Jim. Didn't know him but always thought he offered a level-headed approach to things here. Phil, glad to know he had things right before he went. John
5bites Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I can't say much more than what has already been said really. Jim was as nice a guy as you could hope to meet. He cared about the people here and he cared about fishing and being a better angler. His reports or advice was straight forward with intentions to make the readers a better angler. I fixed a rod for Jim earlier this year and he gave me some baits for doing it. He gave me more than I needed. In fact when he came to pick up the rod he brought even more lol. Just to be a nice guy. It's a comfort to know this won't be the last time I see him. dtrs5kprs 1
