fishinwrench Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I go through my periods of poverty but I've always managed to eat pretty good.
Gavin Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 The money you make is never the measurement of what you have achieved and done for others. Family, friends, and food on the table. Don't need anything else. Jeff Tief, Mitch f and Stacy Jordan 3
Greasy B Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Poverty can take many forms, I spent this evening with an old friend who has fallen on hard times. We haven't shared a beer in several years, in the that span of time our fate has reversed. I'll never forget the when life was dark and my buddy was there to help. I hope I can be as good a man as he is. Mitch f 1 His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Old plug Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Gavin that is true. Our culture does not work that way. A lot of people think they have got to have everything even if it about drives them into the poor house. Stacy Jordan 1

I feel they are poorer than me. Â Â
stlfisher Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I call those people dipshits. I have "friends" that are like that. I feel they are poorer than me. The sad part is they don't even realize it. I have "friends" that really think they have it figured out. I honestly feel sorry for them... Flysmallie 1
oneshot Posted June 25, 2015 Author Posted June 25, 2015 When we first moved to this area our Daughter refused to move with us, she was 15. She still hates the way we live. This was our place out in the brush. Kick myself every time I think about us selling it. oneshot
Old plug Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 I bet in reality Oneshot your a millionaire. I got a neighbor lives in a little A Frame house. His family put their life savings about $4000 I think it was into a company called IBM back in the 30s. Poor old fella he is. Yes indeed.
fishinwrench Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Money sucks. That's what I'm talkin'about! Tell you what...you just send it all this way and I'll promptly get rid of as much of that filthy crap as you can send me. BilletHead, Flysmallie and westbranchfly 3
