bassman1308 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 The OP story reminded me of a similar incident many years ago in the same general area. I'm hesitant to repeat that story as I don't like getting laughed at BUT about 30 years ago our club was fishing a hot weather, full moon all nighter in the Shell Knob area. Two highly respected club members came in with a story very identical to the OP's story. It happened after midnight on the bluff end of Pinnacle point, the bluff end on the left side as you enter Kings River. They never saw a 'hairy' creature but according to them , it was big and fast. They could see it's outline in the moonlight as it ran along the top of the bluff after throwing huge rocks into the lake near where they were fishing. I remember trying to joke with these guys about their story but they were pretty spooked by their experience. Neither one ever changed that story over the years. I always assumed it was someone pulling a prank but now ---
Members flyrod17 Posted July 9, 2015 Members Posted July 9, 2015 I had to make a class 2 deposit early one morning, very foggy. I pulled the boat up a hollow, parted and walked a short distance into the trees. As I was taking care of business a large human/apelike creature was quietly moving along the tree line watching my boat intently. I remained very still, didn't even want to make a peep but I lost my balance just enough to rustle the dried leaves. The thing swirled unbelievably fast and looked me right in the eye. I didn't even breath but it knew something was up and charged straight at me. It was a terrorizing incident. crusty bass 1 "I'm Haunted by Water"
