Just wondering

I'm just wondering how guys feel about small guys fishing tournaments. I've got a nice safe alumucraft ckassic with a 50 hp and great electronics that cost more than my boat but oh well. I'm a cnr guy no killer just want to fish some tournaments meet people and have fun.

If the guys in glitter boats have a problem with it, so be it. I have a glitter boat, but as long as your boat meets tourney requirements for safety of you and the fish. rock on.

it has always been my opinion that you can catch fish out of a bath tub.  i started out in my early years in a next to nothing boat with a flasher.  join in, kick butt and take names.

if you can afford the entry fees, go for it.  At then end of the year you will be way ahead dollar wise versus the guys in the glitter boats, even if you win zero dollars.

I fished (and won), several tournaments out of my little 1652 VPT Lowe Roughneck with a 60hp 4 stroke Merc before I bought my Stratos. As long as you have the proper equipment and feel capable, there's not anything stopping you.

I never had a fish laugh at any of my older boats that I used to own. Go for it.
