A 40 yr. old Marine Repair business on Table Rock lake with a excellent reputation for service parts and satisfaction should really not threaten anyone.  Everyone operates his or her business in a separate manner.  Kelly is trying to continue a tradition here and I just wanted to let folks know about the change.  Did not think by doing so I would get a negative reaction to trying to help folks in extreme SW Mo. On a Table Rock Lake forum.  Main jist was that all our MotorGuide and Lowrance items can be serviced here and we don't have to drive 50 plus miles to Springfield.

I could not have taken a good thing and turned it into anything worse.  I truly apologize for this thread and mentioning any type of LOCAL Table Rock news that we are usually not only looking for but begging for  and screwing it up any worse.

Good Luck

Well, we all are at times. Often unintentionally. I'm sure I have been.

I do get your point. If I was local to a lake, and could fish anytime, the best and slowest way might be perfect. I had some glass work done many years ago when Ozawkie was my dealer. Took it out in December, said I didn't care how long it took, and picked it up about 6 weeks later. No big deal, didn't need it sooner.

Several years back I sheared a drive shaft in a brand new Opti 250XS while at TR. Don't believe Ulrich was there on 13 then. Took 2 weeks to get parts in to fix it, wasting a second trip to the lake a week later (and the money spent on the rooms). Even then, it was not quite the right part, and I had to go back down to have the next shaft put in when it finally arrived from Merc.

If there had been a dealer who had the part in stock to save the two trips, plus the travel and money spent, I would have been more than thankful. Even if it was not the most up to date model number.

Ulrich has been that for a lot of folks, regardless of personal relationships. They dont know me from Adam, but have treated me like I bought a new ride from them, even on little stupid parts. Just great to hear the plan is to continue to be that resource.

OK I'm with ya, Dave....

Bet ya a bucketful of Ned rigs that they won't be stocking any V6 driveshafts...., but they WILL sell you a complete lower unit today.

If getting back on the water now AT ANY COST is the goal..... Hell that's no problem.

I'd have gladly gone that route.

Well why didn't ya ?    The nearest Merc dealer would have sold you a fresh lower, lickety-split.
