cheesemaster Posted December 7, 2015 Author Posted December 7, 2015 Oh ouch!!!! That is nasty looking!!! I would have call the medics with my phone - I wouldn't have used it to take pictures, lol.

I never tried it without a lure. HMMM....holding a treble hook in your hand to try to entice a fish to bite the hook.....not something I think I will try. lol looks painful. I have buried hooks too, as I am sure most of us have. Mike
Members Skeeter2 Posted December 7, 2015 Members Posted December 7, 2015 Is that a new noodlin' technique?
Members gruber Posted December 7, 2015 Members Posted December 7, 2015 Wasn't something I was wishing for at all but stuff happens, as for noodlin', I am not that brave or crazy and I apologize for derailing this thread.....C&R
Champ188 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I'm guessing the old line trick didn't work in that tricky location. Removed by doctor?
dtrs5kprs Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Dude...that was seriously buried. Made me want to throw out all of my Yellow Magics (5 years later and they still creep me out). Champ188 1
Ham Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Holy Crap that looked bad gruber. Makes me want to throw a barbless Ned the rest of my life. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Sore Thumbs Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Nice job. I buried a crankbait in my leg on Sunday. The barb was not as deep as yours though. I just had to snip the skin by the barb and it came right out. It was strange. No bleeding and relatively painless. I got lucky.
96 CHAMP Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 2 years ago I buried part of a treble hook from a floating rapala in my left hand that was hanging from a shelf in my garage as I was walking in to the house from work, went to set a six pack of bottled water between 2 shelves and got hooked, had to go to emergency room to get it removed as it was buried in palm of my left hand, oops!! Members gruber Posted December 8, 2015 Members Posted December 8, 2015 We tried to cut the split ring to free the hook but nothing I had in the boat was strong enough so two hours at the emergency room and it was gone, toughest part was the shot to numb it but I got a tetanus shot too so all was good
