laker67 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 We shut the power down and hopefully we do not get a ticket for "no" blue light.
MOPanfisher Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Hopefully everyone has shut off power to their docks. Don't want to read about someone braving the cold water and wading out to their to try and stabilize it and pay with their life.
Jerry Rapp Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I will ask the obvious question. Did anyone get fried in the July event?
MOPanfisher Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Honestly don't know. A wrecker operator was electrocuted I think in SPFLD when he waded out to hook up.to a car.

The local media has become reluctant to report electrocutions now, so we don't get to hear about all of them anymore. I felt a tingle while unhooking a jig from a cable last Spring and at first I just thought it was me having a muscle spasm (my hands and arms tingle all the time so I didn't think much of it) .... but then it quit as soon as I backed away from the cable. I was like "Oh, that wasn't ME !" I hollered at a neighbor that was out and told him. He didn't seem very concerned. Go figure.

WHARFRAT Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 It's crazy high right now. The say, 665.8 and I'll have water in my door. That dock in the pic crashed into the end of our dock. My boat is fine right now. I'm about in the middle of a 34 slip dock. But on the other side of my dock there are 2 smaller docks with pretty big boats on them, against the up current side of of our dock. Some of the residents say they talked to "some official" (whatever that means) that says they expect it to go up close to another foot before residing. @lozcrappie
