Only place I know you can fish in your PJ's. Best one cast ever. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 31, 2015 Author Root Admin Share Posted December 31, 2015 We were catching them like crazy through Tuesday night. Even rigged a light and we fished late Tuesday night. Wednesday morning, they didn't want to eat. We had tried several things- mostly white stuff because of all the threadfin shad- but nothing. Then I tied on a sculpin jig and got a bite. Turned on the camera and got lucky. Ryan and Duane fished another 30 minutes and caught one. Water is way down but we still can't get to the dock by foot. Starting to clean up and haul flooring and sheet rock out of the lower units. The real fun begins... But there are others who are calling a bulldoiser guy for their house so I'm not complaining. There was a ton of shad flowing so I'm excited to see how the fish will reacted to white jigs. They might not be hungry for a couple of days though. Sam
Phil, this video increased the circulation of the Ozark Anglers forums a bit. An old crappie-fishing buddy in South Carolina emailed me yesterday, saying he'd seen film on Fox News about Rockaway Beach flooding. I missed that story on Fox, but I emailed back explaining about our Lake Taneycomo being a cold water lake/river between Tablerock and Bull Shoals and how it's a trout fishery. I included a link to the video you'd just posted showing the high water at Lilley's Landing and you catching that trout out your window. My friend got a big kick out of that and he forwarded my email to members of his crappie fishing club. Those folks really enjoyed it, and now several say they've bookmarked ozarkanglers.com to follow the articles and posts here, and I think some fishing vacations to the Ozarks may result. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 31, 2015 Author Root Admin Share Posted December 31, 2015 These kinds of events - tragic, high drama - boost news media's ratings... including internet social sites, mine included. Traffic quadrupled on Monday. And I made a little more money on my google ads
MOBass
Phil, Will you have the shop open? I need to get some jigs to help break in a belated Christmas present for my dad. Picked him up a new rod and reel and figure some jig would round it out nicely.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 31, 2015 Author Root Admin Share Posted December 31, 2015 It's open. Not all the stuff are back on the racks but the jigs and rods are.
