Old plug Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 i would 100% recommend a English Lab. I have watched them around family and children for many years. Only bad thing is the shed. I think they will cost you a arm and a leg though. Camela does not like small dogs and cats. She just chases them but has never hurt one. She is primaraly all about her family. . I think he paid 7 or 8 hundred for her 15 yrs ago.

With all the good looking Lab mixes that are available for little or no cost (up front anyway), I wonder why you are gonna go with a dog from a breeder. Just curious. Just curious. While I won't condemn you for doing what you want I will agree 100% with this. I've had some of the best dogs money could buy through the years and the mutt I have now is the best dog I have ever had. Better than the two pure bred labs I've had. She's part lab, part bassett, and you couldn't ask for a better family pet. It isn't even possible. Picked her up at the pet shelter for $50 several years ago. We also recently rescued another Dachshund. We have one that we paid $400 for 14+ years ago and decided to get another to help the kids through her end of life when it comes. The new one cost us $100 and is just as pure as the other. I'm not saying that rescuing a shelter dog is for everyone but there are a lot of good animals out there that need a home and another chance at life. Ham 1

And lots of kind-hearted souls to take them into their homes too. Life-to-date I've rescued one feral kitten (lived 19 years) and two cast-offs from my ex-wife's family members (one 10+ years, the other 2 years +/-). I have fulfilled my obligation to the domesticated animals and irresponsible pet owners out there. Now I buy what I want when I want it. Ham Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I'd love to have a Corgi and I'd love to have a Maine Coon Cat, but with so many wonderful animals that need a home, I doubt I'll live long enough to get around to owning either one. We'll keep taking in the hard luck storys that find their way into our lives. Deadstream 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Old plug Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Dogs and cats are fueled by love. It never fails. You treat them like you would want to be treated and they become mirrors of you. That is true nearly all thr time. More so than human children.

My last cat, and I mean last both ways, peed all over the house. I only have a couple locations where I do that. So, I respectfully disagree on the mirror thing John

Greasy B Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Every cat I have known including the one I had for 18 years would just as soon kill me as give me the time of day. Any actions that might be perceived as affection was just a selfish attempt to satisfy its own quest for comfort, warmth and food. ness and Mitch f 2 His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Old plug Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 This one I got uses he litter box every time and if its not cleaned everyday she complains to me about it. She is a house cat and flat refuses to go outside. She even minds about 1/2 the time. Sleeps with us. Gets up between the two of us and purrs. She will not bother either of us if were sleeping. But if I so much as move a mustle in the morning after 6 am she is going to get after me to get up and feed her and take care of her littler box. Sounds spoiled HUH
