Eric82 Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Braved the cold Saturday for some Little Piney action. The water was still up a bit with and had some color in it. The stream had been moved around a bit and noticed a new tree across the river. A lot of the root wads were washed away. That aside my dad and I brought a few beauties to hand. My dad caught his first wild trout ever and fished the fiberglass 4 wt I built him for Xmas for the first time as well. Peacock soft hackles and olive mohair leeches for those keeping score. Cold but satisfying... jackdizo, swilson, laker67 and 4 others 7

Eric82 Posted January 20, 2016 Author Posted January 20, 2016 I liked the action on the rod. A little bit faster than vintage glass but still a good flex in my opinion. Certainly slower than any new graphite. Ham 1
ness Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 That's sweet on many different levels. Good going, and thanks for the report. Eric82 1 John
Ham Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Eventually, I will succumb to the allure of the glass flyrod. I have a strange desire to buy a Butter Stick. mic and Eric82 2 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Sharps4590 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Good times, good on ya'll!....and when you get to vintage bamboo you'll know you're hopeless..... swilson 1 I'd rather live my entire life, living as if there is a God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there isn't, than to live my entire life as if there is no God and Jesus and to find out at the end that there is.
Members swilson Posted February 12, 2016 Members Posted February 12, 2016 Phillips 7 footer or Boyd 6 foot work great for me on that creek!
