I ain't getting into the climate change argument, it's way too much like beating your head against the wall...except it doesn't feel nearly as good when you stop.

But I will comment on underpowered "green" cars.  As the owner of two Priuses and the one time owner of a hybrid SUV, I've not had any problem whatsoever with any of them being "underpowered".  I had no problem pulling my boat behind the Highlander, and no problem cruising at 85 mph (speed limit is now 80) on Western interstates and passing slower vehicles--while still getting close to 50 mpg.

I  heard they had to raise some of the prices to keep up with the cost of those fantastic catalog covers some smallmouth specialist /artist has been creating for years!

At the risk of extending this train wreck...There is one huge flaw in all of the warming biz (and make no mistake, green science is a business as much as evil oil). It has precisely jack to do with carbon, human activity, oil, etc.

We have at best, being soft with our definitions, about 150-200 years of accurate to semi accurate recorded temperature data. So now as a global society (OK, another flaw since we know there are other countries that could care less- China maybe) are supposed to base policy, lifestyle changes, and risk the collapse of our economy on what amounts to a snap shot in the timeline of Earth. We have no verifiable way to know if similar trends happened previously in the great big way back of Earth's history, or if any impact, positive or negative, occurred from them. So temps are up. Great. Or not. Hard to know.

Excuse me if I don't rush out to buy the world a Coke, and teach it how to sing.

I ain't skeered of no ghosts.

The odds that we (you all and I, collectively) will ever encounter any of the things some of you little girls are wettin' your panties over are longer than Powerball. Each of us will continue living our remaining time on the same basic trajectory as it's brought us so far, and hopefully with enough momentum to live long and prosper. We'll never encounter a terrorist, live under facism or socialism, lose our guns, or spontaneously combust 'cause it's just too darn hot out. I'm sorry I helped eff up the planet, I had lots of help. I refuse to spend my remaining days afraid of something that won't happen to me.

Too much fun out there that ain't been had yet. Party on, Garth!

Insure hope your right but. I do not wet my panies. I do but i do not live with my head in the sand either. Time will tell.

How much effort should be made "saving" a planet that God is eventually going to replace  with another so amazing and wonderful that the current earth pales in comparison?  Earth will be our "home/habitat" until God decides otherwise.
