Members Matt Henry Posted January 21, 2016 Members Posted January 21, 2016 This bait looks like it could work well on Table Rock. Does anyone have any experience using the Realis Spinbait 80? The say they will dive to 15 ft. Great for suspended fish. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Duo_Realis_Spinbait_80/descpage-DUOSPIN.html Matt Henry

I thought the same thing, and have thrown them a bit, but they do not seem to be a great fit for TR, for whatever reason. Seemed like they would fit in well when sticks and grubs are working, but...? A lot of the lakes where they have been good have grass. Bluebasser hs done pretty well with them in KS. Ham 1
dtrs5kprs Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 And as it happens, they sink. You can run one down as far as your wallet will let you. mjk86 and Champ188 2
bluebasser86 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 They seem to work best for me when the jerkbait bite is dying and the fish are a little more willing to chase. They sink like a rock despite their small size and cast like a missile, especially if you fish them on the kind of gear they suggest using them with. I fish mine on a 7' 3" ML/F with 5lb Maxima Ultragreen. I doubt many of the fish I'm catching with them are suspended though, rather coming up off the bottom to attack the bait since most of the lakes in NE KS are comparatively very shallow. Ham Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I am very upside down with these in a fish per dollar sense. Apparently I have a weak genome when it comes to buying these. Yes, they work, but I've never seen it be the best option going. I've caught a few smallies and a few spots in them. I've caught a few crappie and a few big bluegill. I really thought I would do better on them than I have. I especially thought they were going to be hell on White Bass. I have yet to catch a White Bass on a spy bait. I am a cautionary tale on these. Save your money. dtrs5kprs and mjk86 2 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Quillback Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I have some in my tackle box and there they sit. I also thought they would be a great bait, but overall I am disappointed in them. I did real well on them 2 summers ago when the fish were schooling on top, I let them sink about 5 feet then slow rolled them through the school - BUT when those bass are schooling and busting top water, they'll eat just about anything you throw at them. I haven't given up completely on them, may give them another try late winter/early spring this year. dtrs5kprs 1
dtrs5kprs Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 In the situations where they could possibly work there are just tons of cheaper, simpler options. Ham and Champ188 2
Bill Babler Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 If your interested, before you buy any, Quill and I may have a bargain sale for you. I think I have at least 3 dozen of them, and kind of like Quill, mine have a nice comfy home on either my tackle board or a rust proof box. They do work, but there are much better baits you can also fish at the same time these little pieces of gold are attracting green fish. magicwormman and dtrs5kprs 2 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Moswimb8slinger Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I'll buy any. Regardless of my swimbait rep, I love those spinbait80's for suspended bass on TR. Biggest bass last summer on one was a 19 inch smallie.
