Ozark Sweetwater Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 There has already been some good advice from some qualified people given but I would tell you that rowing a drift boat and rowing a boat with someone fishing are two different things. What I mean by that is that knowing the basic rowing strokes is good but it takes a lot more time on the sticks to learn how to stay on a line so someone can fish. An experienced oarsmen makes this look effortless. It's not hard it just takes practice. Like others have said, hire a drift boat guide and explain to him what you are wanting to do. Learn the basics from him and then just get on the water and practice. Good luck and enjoy the ride and congrats on your purchase. Daryk Campbell Sr 1 http://ozarksweetwater.com

I ask the question is anyone willing to let me row so they can fish because the #1 thing I've read from websites/forums is that once you get your own boat you get stuck rowing and never get to fish. So I thought maybe since that is the case someone would be happy to help me learn to row for the chance to fish all day. Sorry, I didn't read it carefully enough. I thought you were wanting somebody to row-teach while you fish. Pete

Terrierman Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 I'm willing to fish while you row. I don't know anything about rowing, but if it will help, I can complain bitterly when you don't put me and keep me where I want to be. Ham, bkbying89, Daryk Campbell Sr and 1 other 4
