Hunter53 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Probably not a lot of use for it on TR though. Muddy Water 1
Fish24/7 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 they flat out catch bass, I've had the best luck with them in and around cover. had to wait a while to get them though, think it was almost 2 weeks after I ordered off ebay

Often times there are better alternatives, but its hard to argue that they are some of, if not, the most effective fishing lures of all time. Im a flicker shad guy, but shad raps have probably caught more fish than any other crank bait, other than maybe....the rapala floating minnow. trythisonemv, marcus, tho1mas and 1 other 4

Ham Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 I cant see the video. Which bait are we talking here? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
abkeenan Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Sebile came out with a "weedless" crank similar in nature to this a few years back. I believe it was called the Lead Balloon Crank. Ham 1

Does the world need any more fishing lures of any kinds? At this point every other company is knocking off baits from every other company, not alot of originality going on. They just use fancier terminal tackle double the price, like i said, every jerkbait is a knockoff of a rapala floater. That was probably thought of as gimmicky at one time. Id imagine that at one time folks probably though an A-Rig was gimmicky, same with giant swim baits. There is a weird distain for storm/rapala/ and bass pro shops that i dont really understand. For petes sake, there is a floating rat bait that costs 80 bucks or something, and its a jitterbug with a rubber worm glued to the back lol. Talk about gimmicky lol Someone buys that stupid thing?
176champion Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 That's all part of the retail business..Ford, Chevy, and Dodge all have gimmicks to sell vehicles..kind of a way of life...lol I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
dtrs5kprs Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Rapala makes a handful of very good baits. The original and countdown minnows, shad rap, and DT series all work. The rest are farm pond and northern lake gimmick baits at best. Couple that with the dumpster fire they made out of Storm, not just the wart- also the old chug bug and jointed thunderstick, and disdain comes pouring in. abkeenan and bluebasser86 2
