Quillback
Decided before heading out that I was not going to fish the Ned rig, and I was going to fish pre-spawn staging areas and avoid the shallows. One of those day where I decided I was going to do things a little different. Fished a 6" Zoom LIzard for most of the day, caught close to 20 on it, a few obvious keepers and a few borderline fish. Fished it on a Carolina rig, mostly in the 5 -15 FOW range. Most of the fish came from staging areas in coves, but some were main lake fish. Caught a couple more on a finesse jig, but I didn't fish the jig for more than about a 1/2 hour. Hooked something big on the jig, but if was off the hook pretty quickly. Lots of boats out there, but you can still work around them and catch fish. dtrs5kprs, big c, Macsimus and 4 others
Champ188
Good day. Started to pick up a C-rigged lizard a time or two myself Wednesday but never did. mixermarkb
96 CHAMP
is that a cotton candy chartreuse by chance Quill?? I remember years back we used to throw that color and from what I remember they really like that color. I believe at times that color does make a difference, good day of fishing, congrats to ya, when to many boats start about good time to explore new water. Hammer time
In clear water I've always used a translucent color, watermelon red or watermelon candy works best for me

mjk86
Good on you for doing something different. I find it very difficult to leave my confidence lures at home and focus only on a new technique....but often it's the only way to learn.
