Quillback Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Launched the boat at 0530 and fished until about noon. Good topwater bite that lasted until about 0930 or so. Not as crazy as a few days ago, but still pretty darned good. Caught most of my topwater fish walking the Yellow Magic Havana, one Whopper Plopper fish, but I did not throw the Plopper much, water was flat early, good for walking. Caught several Keitech fish, a couple of Ned eaters and one c-rig fish. Caught quite a few spawned out largemouth today, only caught a couple that might still have eggs. Still some fat spots around. I am still fishing deep water near points, I haven't been back in any coves. Saw some shad spawning. Water temp 69. LD Fisher, Diamond City Fisher, shark bait and 9 others 12
jolicious Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Beautiful! Friday June 17th I'm in the Poultry Federation Festival Bass Tournament out of Eagle Rock. Never fished out of or anywhere near Eagle Rock, but I think that's close to this magical "Big M Area" I always read about. I am so excited to fish there!
Bill Babler Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Jeff, you are taking my thunder with all these doubles. Just great pictures and what a month we are having. Keep them coming buddy. mixermarkb 1 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

LD Fisher Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I hope it lasts through next weekend at least. Wife had so much fun last Fri that we get to do it again!! Lake might be a little busy though
m&m Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Heading out Sunday and Monday morning for the early bite. Looks like I'll be heading to the big M area. Quill, thanks for the pictures. Well done Mike
Quillback Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 BTW guys, I don't want to be misleading in that I'm fishing right near Big M, there are sometimes I do fish close, but it could by anywhere from the mouth of the Kings to Eagle Rock. And of course, I won't name exact locations. I'm launching out of Big M, and just trying to figure out where they are on a particular day. One of the spots that was red hot a week ago, held just a few fish yesterday. Champ188, jolicious and magicwormman 3
Smalliebigs Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Saweeet report!!!!!.....kudos to you and your topwater bite, for me it doesn't get old.....topwater rocks my world when it comes to fishing. I live vicariously thru your daily reports and pics......sooo awesome!!!! I just can't wait to move to that region with my wife and daughter.....we can't wait
Champ188 Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 In my opinion, this site is not and should never be about specific locations. Nevertheless, you can pick up more information here than anywhere else on the internet. The intent is for people to take the wealth of information here about techniques, patterns, equipment, current conditions, etc., and go become proficient at catching their own fish. In a word, it's not Obamafish. magicwormman, jolicious, LD Fisher and 2 others 5
