Those ZMan heads seem like they would fall way too slow for my taste, exactly how you described. I work my jig very slow most of the time...but that's when it's already on the bottom!?

I think the sizes in my pic are 1/16, 1/8/ and 3/16. Of the three the 3/16 is the only one that doesn't make my head explode, and I like a slow fall, no feel approach.

My favorite weight in a hair jig is 1/8, thought that would be the deal. I started playing with these about two years before I picked up the other bait...

Very interesting. But I too will stick with my boy Dave. I love his jig heads and he has been good to me!! Responds to my questions, gets me my order in a timely fashion. The only thing wrong with Dave is that he is a Jayhawk!!

Duct tape around your head will keep it from exploding most times. And you aren't just stuck with silver these days --- they have lots of cool colors.

I think they changed it though. Last roll I bought wasn't the old heavy cloth type. Less flexible, more of a plastic feel.

I won't hold that last sentence against you.

Might have to start buying the "pre-plastic" tape off eBay at exorbitant prices.

Gene larew is coming out with a " Ned rig inch worm " also, I can't get it to come up, maybe someone here can look into it. Looks like a paddle tail ring worm actually that you can break off in sections I believe

I have 40 eleven different soft plastic worms that I could use on my Ned rig AND they would catch fish, BUT I'm always going to use Z man cut zinkers. Day in and day out I don't believe you can beat it.

I was surprised to see it, I don't think it will be a big seller being the success everyone is having with the tried & true Ned baits. JMO
