fishinwrench Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Since you brought that up.... I do cop a bit of an attitude when he starts in about how "by staying at ROLF you are helping fund our semi-adopted underprivileged little pickaninny in some far away land". #1. If you are truly looking to help an underprivileged child I'm sure you could find one right there in your own county. Ya know, where you could actually see and monitor their progress. #2. I have an undeniable suspicion that very little funding (if any) from ROLF ever reaches said pickaninny. I may be totally out of line by saying that, and if so I'm sorry, but those who know me very well are fully aware that the thoughts that pop into my head have a bad habit of falling right out of my mouth. I do like Myron though, and don't need any extra BS feel-good incentive to fork over the price of staying there. It's worth it. awhuber and Gavin 2
SpoonDog Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 The guy can charge whatever he wants for access, it just seems odd he'd use taxes to justify what's almost certainly unreported income. For $30 you can practically rent a canoe or kayak, float in from Kelly's or Hammond Camp, and make a day of it. There's fish all over that river, no sense (IMO) in shelling out cash to fish one small section. Ham and Mitch f 2
fishinwrench Posted July 21, 2016 Posted July 21, 2016 Well, if I was restricted to walk-in access on NFOW there's no better place to be IMO than Jack's riffle.
joeD Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Your vehicle costs how much? Insurance? Gas? Your fly rods cost how much? Your fly reels, go for what? Line? Flies, boxes, other equipment. How much? So, you are arguing over $30? (Ahem. Principle don't you know Joe). Oh. OK. Daryk Campbell Sr and trythisonemv 2
trythisonemv Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 It seems strange that he told you to remind him of the price upon arrival...this indicates a fluctuating price scale controlled by how much he likes you or the conversation you had with him via telepHone. My guess is you will get there tell him the quote price and he will decide thats too much and tell yoi 15 . He probably has a lot of idiots call and the 30keeps them at bay.
Members dochollow Posted September 25, 2016 Members Posted September 25, 2016 Sunburst ranch was charging only $5.00 to fish all day. Just saying!

I'd rather buy Justin a beer than to give someone else a dollar, who then gives it to someone else, who gives it to yet another person who eventually, and supposedly, buys something and gives it to some kid in Whogivesafukistan. snagged in outlet 3, Gavin and Flysmallie 3
