The 4 inch TRD! As if we weren't cutting down the Zinker to size anyways. Reminds me of this: dtrs5kprs, top_dollar and SplitG2 3
jim m Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 take the 5" zinker z put it on a stand up jig head and go fishing. now if they just made a 10" z
Members KCFinesse Posted July 19, 2016 Members Posted July 19, 2016 I did order a few packs of the TRD tubez. I'm interested to see how well they sit on bottom compared to the zinkerz, but I am a little skeptical of the limited color selection at this point.

Those actually look like a worthwhile bait with a nice design (both the denser head and round tentacles). I'm sure the smallies would just tear them up. I just rarely use tubes because for whatever reason fish just inhale the dang things and are gut-hooked too frequently for my taste. Not sure why that is maybe the hollow design that collapses easily for them to swallow? They are fish catchers no doubt but I hate pulling a fish from the water and see blood immediately pouring out of their gill plates. Champ188 and big c 2

There's a joke in there somewhere . I'm just not sure they will be better than the cut stick. Won't keep me from buying some. Wasn't impressed with last year's new tube. Basically an old G2 tube in elaztech. Tentacles were a mess. I've fished every option they make that could fit the little rig, and still keep coming back to the cut stick as the best. Couple others have their places, but not the same day in and day out. abkeenan, huntest, vernon and 1 other 4
Ham Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 I'm a cut stick guy. I'm not looking for a better option. I'm just looking for more chances to throw the cut stick. The panfish abuse the little tube would get would drive you crazy once the water got above 60 degrees. The little crabby thing gets absolutely gnawed on by panfish. I think the tube will be just as bad or worse. Meh. I'll pass. Champ188 and dtrs5kprs 2 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
