Al Agnew Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Center of the universe syndrome...they don't think anybody or anything in the universe matters but them. And yes, it's getting more common all the time. But IF they vote, I doubt that there's any correlation between their attitude and who they vote for. trythisonemv, Flysmallie, Pepe and 2 others 5
Mitch f Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Yep it's all about what values and guidance their parents bestowed upon them.....or didn't. And yes Al, it's getting more and more common. I bet the number of honks I hear on a yearly basis when driving has grown exponentially in the last 15 years. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID What? Jerks, morons, and all form of people you wouldn't want to spend much time with have always existed, and will continue to exist until the end of time, in roughly the same proportion there is now. It's so easy and so incredibly lazy to blame that on one generation, but I find there is danged little correlation to be found there.

I agree with this, I also agree that we have reached past the point of no return. Social groups, religious groups and racial groups all hating one another. All these groups do not want to resist trying to get along and understand one another. The division is very great. I can see no winners in this current national election that will not enrage the other side to arms. Our enemies outside this country know that. You can bet if there is even a spark of a revolt our enmies outside will be Johnny on the spot to support anyway they can. So yes you better be real afraid for the future.

Brian Jones Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Years ago, my parents bought their first brand new car; a 1990 Chevy Corsica. A few weeks later, Mom and Dad were out running around and decided to stop in a sporting goods store in Pevely. Parked next to them when they came out of the store was a freshly restored 1967 Black Mustang convertible. As my dad went around to get in the car he notices a black ding in the left front fender that wasn't there when he went in. Instantly angry, he opens the passenger door of the mustang to see if it fits the ding. Unfortunately for the owner, it's an exact match. Discovering this, he loses his mind. He closed the door of the mustang so hard that it broke the latch. He then mule kicked the panel on the door completely in, pulled the mirror off the winshield and was climbing onto the hood when my Mom was able to get control of him and back into the car and out of town. Nothing ever really came of the outburst as this was before most retail stores had surveilance cameras and especially outside ones. But the incident taught me two valuable lessons: One, park away from other vehicles when possible and 2, be careful when getting in and out of my vehicle when forced to park in close quarters............................. Moral of the story: every once in a while, "the center of the universe syndrome" comes with a price to pay.................
