I like a classic martini—gin or vodka—with the vermouth still in it. About a 3 to 1 ratio is right for me. Sounds snooty, but I like them shaken, not stirred. Gotta have it ice cold and I like the little ice slivers that you get from shaking.

When I order them out I never know what I’m gonna get, so I’ve got a little spiel I go through. Gin, up, 3/1, not dirty, olives. Can’t make myself say shaken, not stirred.

Went to a pretty nice restaurant recently and I told the waitress we wanted martinis, but laughed and said we had some instructions. Went through the drill and ordered one gin and one vodka. When she brought them back I asked which one is the gin? She raised them up to her nose and sniffed them to figure it out 😄

Ahh, I know it sounds awfully fancy. I like what I like. Don’t read too much into it. I also like Budweiser.

I just never did drink much. Did not have a beer until my mid twenties. Used to drink a beer a day with a meal. Down to maybe two or three adult beverages a week maybe. A fancy drink maybe one a month. I could see more if I got into trying some that you guys post. Peaking my interest ,

I like real martinis too.  10-4 on shaken.  That's how they get really cold.  The martini glass has to be chilled too.

The cocktail that a dash of bitters really improves is an honest to pete margarita.  All honest to pete margaritas are made with either Cointreau or Grand Marnier.  Not triple sec.

Agreed, but try the Orange Bitters.

Bourbon on the rocks.  Two fingers and three cubes.  It's Evan Williams Green.  My current favorite, recommended by another internet friend.B)

I’m sure I’ll get naysayers on this one, but I like it. Red beer with a shake of Lawry’s seasoned salt.

Never really liked red beer, but don't mind a shot of hot sauce in my beer.  Usually when I break down and buy one I am so dang thirsty I don't even taste it much.  Until the second one.
