BilletHead Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Not as big and bright in the morning as it was in the Evening, Sure was not any ducks flying in the wee hours of this morning and as you can see the BilletHead's were bored. All we had was the Mrs. Cell phone. So we celebrated the setting moon and the rising sun. Just another quality day together. I am trying hard to balance the moon on my finger, And then the Mrs. just wanted to catch it. Then as the moon went down we watched the sun rise together. moguy1973 Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 It really was a super moon. Really though, that is a picture I took with my dSLR with a 270mm lens on it. fishinwrench Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Every pic I've seen of the "Super Moon" (haven't we already had a couple of those already this year? I'm confused.) Anyway, every pic has that bright speck at 8:30. Wonder what that is?

Looking at this page it looks like that bright white spot is a crater called Aristarchus. http://www.space-pictures.com/view/pictures-of-earth/pictures-of-the-moon/moon-pictures/the-moon-2010-features.php fishinwrench 1 -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
