snagged in outlet 3 Posted November 29, 2016 Author Posted November 29, 2016 It was a river in France. The cats were 3 - 5 feet long. They were taking pigeons like a croc takes a wildebeest. Probably need a 14 weight rod to cast a pigeon size fly.
Mitch f Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 My brother in law just got back from China and ate these 12 day old pigeons. Johnsfolly 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Johnsfolly Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I may have seen that same show, but this spring. The fish that they were showing were Wels Catfish and can get up to 7-8 feet in length and well over 150 lbs. The guy from River monsters has tangled with these guys in Germany and Spain. I believe that he landed one that was over 7 feet in length.
BilletHead Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Mitch would these be pigeons that are 12 days old from being born of 12 days old after death? I bet tender either way . Al Agnew Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I once watched a gar try to eat a squirrel that was swimming the river...big gar, but not quite big enough. The squirrel escaped minus a hank of tail hair.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted November 30, 2016 Author Posted November 30, 2016 Squirrels are tough. And scary!!
