Guest Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 I always thought trd would be a better selling name for a carp bait than it is for a bass bait.... But hey, whatever works...

In general if you're not swimming it, less movement and less direct connection to the bait is more. Dead sticking it with controlled slack can be soooooooooo good. Ned has written about a variety of retrieves he considers basic for years. I probably hybridize all of them in a given day. Always start and come back to dead sticking. Sore Thumbs Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 There is an article with him in the latest Bassmaster magazine if you guys want to check it out. Good stuff.
Guest Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Pendulum swing it in deeper boat docks like you would a jigging spoon. When bass are suspended & post spawn, the pendulum swing is killer.
Quillback Posted January 12, 2017 Posted January 12, 2017 Dang thing will catch top water fish too, cast it at them, let it sink for a second, rip it a couple of feet, then let it sink on slack line, watch for a twitch in your line. dtrs5kprs 1
