Anyone Do Fantasy Fishing?

likinmo jumps to the lead after a strong showing at Okeechobee with abkeenan and Champ1882 close behind.  Next up is the Classic which they WILL be scoring fantasy points for this year, starts Friday March 24.

One certainty ... Ish won't be on my Classic team or probably any other. Never cared much for him anyway.

Don't know how I feel about Ish. He rubs a lot of people the wrong way but a lot of that is just passion for the sport which I can respect. Every sport needs a villain and it's good for the sport (IMO) to have guys that bring some personality (ex. Ike). Definitely controversial though, no doubt. Where I kinda lost respect for him is when he jumped in another Elite's boat a few years back and got into a skirmish. That is over the line.

Two guys that I could watch all day are Greg Hackney and Andy Montgomery. Hackney is a riot (on top of being an incredible angler) and I didn't realize Montgomery was such a funny guy. Watched his live weigh-ins on day 3 and 4 and he is quite the character.

Andy Montgomery is the best dock fisherman I've ever seen. If you haven't seen him skip docks it is must see. Look it up online.

I had no problem with Ish until I picked him for this tournament.  Now, I don't like him.  The freakin' guy won on Big O back in 2012, and now he can't even make the cut?  Sheesh.

I watched some of his youtubes a few years back. I know that he is quite the dock skipper. He actually made mention of it at today's weigh in. Said he was using a new Daiwa rod that is an Ish Monroe flipping model to be released at the Classic next month. He said he has his Daiwa dock skipping specific model coming out at the same time as well.

Classic should be a little easier to pick anglers.  Only 52 to pick from.  Not sure how they will divvy them up between the 5 buckets though, I think in the past it was 10 in the first 4 buckets and then the rest in Bucket E.

The only reason I didnt pick ish ....is i think alot of times the guys that have been around awhile worry more about their sponsorship money than they do about winning a tourney. So I left him off my team. But what in the world happened to Chris Lane. He killed me.  I got fooled on that pick for sure. I would of thought he would of done whatever it took to make the cut but wow... I did Ok with my other picks though im not ready to send yall my address just yet!! LOL!! What goes up must come down! LOL!

I did decent this tourney. Only pick I hurt myself on was going with Ish instead of Hackattack. Hard not to pick Ish on that pond though. MUCH better than my 700 point showing in the first tourney...

Davy Hite talked about Chris Lane during Sunday's live coverage. He said Lane was extremely disappointed (pissed) and thought about punching his windshield on the way home. Chris Lane vowed to be back soon.
