Hello Everyone,

I will visit Table Rock Lake for a family reunion this July. We will be near the Mill Creek Campground on Table Rock Lake. I was wondering if I can get some info on fishing the area. I'll have access to a kayak or canoe while I'm at the lake but I'll only be able to wade fish otherwise. I have no specific species I want to target. I'm happy catching anything. I know there's some trout on the lower side of the dam but I'm also looking to catch some warm water species. One of my favorites is white bass. With that said I have no specific species I want to target. I'm happy catching anything. I mainly fly fish but I'll probably bring my spinning rod as well.

There are lots of brushpiles planted all around the bank that surrounds the campground. The ramp area gets replenished with tournament fish released there from the night Tournaments.  The big pocket next to the ramp heads to the east towards the bridge would be a great area to fish with your kayak. Go early and late since July is the busiest time for pleasure boats.  Have fun.

Nicely stated.  Get up early and watch for schooling fish exactly where Sprint said.  Sometimes you are limited on the Rock with a fly rod if fishing for bass as they always just tend to be out of reach.  You may get lucky and see some schooling or chasing off the long point just past the flat pocket ie swim beach at Mill.

Be very familiar with the Ned Rig, as you can walk that bank and get them to cozy up to that little monster pretty much 12 months a year.

Good Luck
