Today I dropped the boat at Ulrich for them to install the replacement sonar, and perform normal maintenance on the engine and trailer.

I have been through the tackle boxes and rearranged to this years whim. At the same time I culled and then added this winter's new baits.

In a week I will have no excuse not to be on the water.

You know what this all means, right? The snows are coming!

Randy, please tell me there is a silver lining in those snow clouds. Just once I am looking for a normal gradual warming so we can see the Pre, spawn and post periods like they are supposed to be. Honestly I would not know how to act if we didn't have a late snow or tornados in the spring.

It has been so nice up here...the last couple of weeks I have done the same thing...sorted, organized, put the new stuff in the boat etc.

I decided to check out some local water.....yeah....still a little hard in most places!!

We could use some snow, good slow melting into the ground snow and some cooler temps.  I was out checking today and peach trees are befinning to bud, lilacs are budding up, its February for Petes sake.

One thing for sure is there is no telling what the weather will do, it could go south and we will all be singing the blues.  Time will tell.
