Most anglers(myself included) have ingrained thought that bass love hard bottom come spring for bedding purposes. If you found hard bottom adjacent to mud flat that would be a money spot. Thanks for the info correct about the crawdads for one part of the equation. bo dtrs5kprs 1

dtrs5kprs Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Yep. And it's a fairly unique type of bank on TR. Pretty much the backs of the rivers, can think of a few places in the backs of a creek. Usually a little more color too. merc1997 Bo 1

merc1997 Bo Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 was looking at the picks of mccelland and noticed the sea gulls. they help a lot in finding those shad balls that are up in the water column. finding the food source is the first objective. then you can start putting in topography into the equation to help figure out where the bass are positioned. bo magicwormman and dtrs5kprs 2
Sprint21fter Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Mud attracts shad also, I would believe it has some kind of algae on it that brings in the shad no matter if it's warm or cold. I would also add where mud is there is runnoff, current that congregates the mud. Just my opinion about mud. Champ188 1

Bill Babler Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 Bo, you can see where Mike M. is fishing. The gulls were there on my Guide trip on Monday, and have been for some time now. We did very well there Monday. As for MikeS. please give him my best and tell him he is in our thoughts and prayers. This is the same location that Mike M. was fishing the Gulls magicwormman, dtrs5kprs, Mitch f and 1 other 4 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Bill Babler Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 Way to go Michael I just knew that Bertrand was going to be a load today, and he was more than that. Bo's guy Sloan made a huge recovery, that I did not think was possible and had an excellent finish. Let's not forget Pete, really nice derby and again MM rules the Rock. big c, magicwormman, *T* and 1 other 4 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
