I'm going to be down the weekend of April 14th for a tournament on Saturday the 15th out of Mill Creek. The last few years we have been out of Campbell Point for this particular tournament but they changed areas do to permit issues. I will be staying in Kimberling City, and was wanting to get you guys that live locally to point me in the direction of some of the best local places to eat!

Also This will be the first time I've ever taken out of Mill Creek and stayed in Kimberling City. Once I'm there I really don't want to have Go back into Branson. Besides food are there any places to get gear in case of emergency or find out I need something else while pre fishing.I thought this would be best place for Local info. Thanks for the help.

Thanks, Mhyde

Just a couple miles north in Branson West is a Mexican Restaurant called "El Lago".  Its a really good one.  RT's in Kimberling isn't bad either.

Ma's (breakfast) or RT's in Kimberling. Jills BBQ is just south of the 13 Bridge at the turn to Mill Creek COE. Good 'cue and smoked burgers. Fillin' Station a little further down 13 in Lampe, excellent KC style BBQ and daily home style specials (open Wed-Sat). Don't skip dessert- homemade cobblers and cake.

Harter House is the grocery store, and altar of all things that used to moo. Tackle Shop, gas, and a hardware store in Kimberling. Ulrich up the road for marine, also a tackle shop there, down in the parking lot.

There is zero reason to go into Branson if you don't want to. It's actually one of my goals for each trip- staying out of Branson.

-Ma's (breakfast anytime!)

-Danna's (BBQ)

-Parmesan's (Italian)

All great places right there in KC (or a minute from KC) no need to go to Branson

Exactly what Dave said^^^^^^^^. Danna's is also great BBQ in Branson West.

Oh, yes.  Champ188 knows we don't go to Kimberling City without a trip to Harter House with the ice chest and dinner at Danna's.  Love me some Danna's.

Or The Landing.  Some of the worst food on the planet.  We occasionally go to the Fish House at Bass Pro and like the fish n' chips although some will tell you that that place sucks too.  I'd rather take an alley whuppin' than ever go back to the Joe's Crab Shack down there.  My sister in law insisted a couple of years ago and I'm still having nightmares and hallucinations about that place.

Have you tried the catfish?  Pretty amazing for a BBQ/burger joint.  I'm always hung up between it and the Mimi's burger with candied jalapenos.
